Choosing a Liner Model

Getting the best fit for your foot!

Choosing a Liner

Most Intuition liners can be used for a variety of shells and applications, depending on height, thickness and flex desired.

SIZE (Length):

What size is your shell?

Our liners run in full sizes so if your shell size is (for example a size 25), you should get a size 25 liner, the same size as your shells. If your shell is a half size (for example a size 24.5) you should round up or down a half size depending on the list below.

Round up:

Power Wrap Plus
Plug
Pro Tour

Alpine
Universal
Classix RD
Classix HD
Godiva

Round down:

VOLUME (Liner Body Thickness):

Check the shell fit – do you need a Low, Medium, or High volume liner?

In order to determine the right thickness of liner for you, start by checking your shell fit. To do this, pull the existing liner out of the shell. Stand with your bare foot inside the bare shell, and move your foot all the way forward so that your toes are touching the end. Bend your knee and flex forward a bit so that you can slide your hand or even a pencil into the shell behind your leg. How many fingers can you fit between your heel and the shell?

One finger (1/2”) or less

…you have a small amount of room inside your shell, so you will need a thinner (low volume) liner:

One – two fingers (1/2″-1¼”)

…this is about average so you will need a medium volume liner:

More than two fingers (1½” +)

…you have a lot of room to fill between your shell and your foot, so you will need a thicker (high volume) liner:

STIFFNESS/FLEX (Density):

Would you like to increase the stiffness of your boot or maintain the current flex?

If you want to increase the stiffness of your boots choose a model from the ‘Hard Flex’ list below. If you don’t want to change the stiffness of your boots choose a model from the ‘Medium Flex’ list.

Hard Flex:

Medium Flex:

FOOTBEDS / ORTHOTICS:

If yes, we recommend choosing one of the below models:
